Saudi Arabia OK's imported US dried distillers grains

August 9, 2011 |

In Washington, the US Grains Council has successfully lobbied the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to include ethanol byproducts corn gluten feed (CGF) and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) to its subsidized animal feed import list, with the potential of 500,000 tons of imports in the near future.

Imports could eventually reach a million tons, in part to feed the kingdom’s large Holstein dairy herds that have 50,000 to 100,000 head each.
