Rentech revenues jump 47 percent

In California, Rentech reported a 47 percent jump in Q3 revenue, to $74.4 million on higher prices for nitrogen fertilizer and higher sales volume of urea ammonium nitrate. The company reported net income of $7.9 million, or $0.04 per basic share, for the quarter, up from a net loss of $1.7 million in Q3 2010.

Rentech had cash and cash equivalents of $104.2 million  and said that it does not expect to require additional capital during the next twelve months to continue budgeted activities at 2011 levels, but said that it will require capital if it commences construction on one of its planned projects.
