Industrial foams from low-cost cellulose: new research

In Israel, Hebrew University graduate student Shaul Lapidot has developed a method to produce industrial foams from nano-crystalline cellulose derived from papermill waste.  The NCC is than processed into composite foams for industrial applications such as replacements for synthetic foams.
