"50/50 chance" for Powers Energy waste-to-ethanol project in Indiana

In Indiana, Schneider’s Town Council President sees about a 50% chance that the planned Powers Energy of America $280 million MSW-to-ethanol facility planned for the town will actually come through. Missed groundbreaking dates and a lack of environmental permit applications during the three years since the project was signed with the county’s solid waste officials has led to disappointment by many in the area. The hiccup seems to be delays in finalizing funding for the facility.
