Biofuels Digest Index plunges to 71.15 as global equities are battered

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, plunged 5.25 percent to 71.15 as global equities melted down over renewed recessionary fears.. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 2.89 percent to $27.51, while Solazyme (SZYM) plunged 13.07 percent to $14.30. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) gained 0.61 percent to $11.49. Overall, declines led advances 8 to 1 for the day.
