Brazil's energy regulator plans new biodiesel auction in support of B5 mandate

In Brazil, the country’s national energy regulator ANP plans to auction off 700 million liters of biodiesel between Aug. 24 and Aug. 26 to Petrobras and its unit Refinaria Alberto Pasqualini (Refap) that will be used for the mandated B5 blend.

The system will be an electronic auction with a maximum of $1.47 per liter for the south and center-west regions, $1.53 per liter for the southeast, $1.63 per liter for the north, and $1.66 per liter for the northeast.
