New options in biodegradable packaging

In Germany, FKur told Packaging Digest that they will be presenting a transparent injection moldable grade cellulose acetate product at Fakuma 2011.  Denise Winkelmann of FkuR is quoted as saying, “Biograde V 2091 is our latest development of the cellulose acetate based Biograde products. Within the packaging sector it allows for the realisation of diverse applications and could be a bioplastics alternative for standard polystyrene (PS).”
