Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 72.33 as ethanol surges

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 2.13 percent to 72.33 as ethanol stocks jumped. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM)recovered 0.54 percent to $27.80, while Paciic Ethanol (PEIX) soared 22.86 percent to $0.43. Among other equities, Syntroleum (SYNM) gained 6.42 percent to $1.16. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
