Mascoma retakes lead over Joule in Transformative Technologies 2011

In first day voting in round three of Transformative Technologies 2011, tournament Cinderella OriginOil saw its lead over Codexis narrowed to 57-43, but still looked poised to continue a remarkable run in the tournament of technologies.

Among other second day movements, Mascoma recovered from a deficit to take a small 52-48 lead over Joule Unlimited, while Amyris and Gevo strengthened their reads over Novozymes and POET, respectively.

In the International regional, Canada’s 6th seeded Enerkem has shown surprising strength in its head-to-head contest with 2nd-seeded LS9. The two organizations are tied, 50-50, in voting so far.

Winners in this round advance to the Elite Eight, with showdowns next week leading to the Final Four.
