OriginOil, Terrabon open big leads over Solazyme, Gevo in Tranformative Technologies

In Florida, OriginOil, Joule Unlimited, Terrabon and Novozymes took leads in the Elite Eight quarterfinals in the 2011 Transformative Technologies tournament.

“It’s early days, ” commented Digest editor Jim Lane, “but its stunning to see how companies like Terrabon and OriginOil have assembled such dedicated cadres of supporters amongst the Digest’s subscribers. Solazyme and Gevo, who are amongst the highest of high-flyers in the 50 Hottest Companies in Bioenergy, have their work cut out for them in reaching the Final Four of Transformative Technologies.

Quarterfinal voting closes at 5pm ET Friday, September 9th. Winners in this round advance to the Final Four. Here are the vote totals (expressed in percentages) so far:
