OriginOil, Terrabon, Joule, Novozymes consolidate leads in Transformative Technologies voting

September 8, 2011 |

In Florida, OriginOil, Joule Unlimited, Terrabon and Novozymes consolidated their early leads from Elite Eight quarterfinal voting in the 2011 Transformative Technologies tournament. #1 Western seed Solazyme, #1 Central seed Gevo and #2 International seed LS9 are now trailing in their match-ups with two days to go in Elite Eight balloting.

“It’s crunch time for Solazyme, Gevo, LS9 and Qteros ” commented Digest editor Jim Lane. “All four have been generally steamrolling competitors for several weeks now – but if they don’t make a surge in voting today, it’s hard to see how they will position themselves to advance to the Final Four.”

Quarterfinal voting closes at 5pm ET Friday, September 9th. Winners in this round advance to the Final Four. Here are the vote totals (expressed in percentages) so far:

International Regional
Novozymes 54 vs LS9 46

Eastern Regional
Qteros 45 vs Joule 55

Central Regional
Gevo  42 vs Terrabon 58

Western Regional
Solazyme 42 vs OriginOil 58
