Transformative Technologies 2011: Final Four preview

September 11, 2011 |

Voting in the third round (Sweet 16) of the Transformative Technologies 2011 tournament begins Monday, August 29 and will close on Friday, September 2 at 5pm ET.

Here are the match-ups, with links to previews of the contests and data on each company’s technologies and progress towards commercialization.

Solazyme vs Joule Unlimited
Novozymes vs Terrabon

“It’s Legends vs Phenoms this week,” commented Digest editor Jim Lane. “The four Regional winners – Solazyme in the Westm, Terrabon in the Central, Joule in the East, and Novozymes internationally, square off, with Solazyme and Novozymes generating huge press over the past several years, while Terrabon and Joule have been receiving less mainstream attention. Now, the readers get to decide who is most deserving to challenge for the ultimate accolade, because the two winners move into the Final that determines the tournament winner.”

Voting is open to all Biofuels Digest subscribers. Voting links are in the Biofuels Digest daily newsletter. To subscribe (free), visit here.

Transformative Technologies is a subscriber-voted, “knock-out” tournament which measures the impact of the competitor’s technologies on the bioenergy landscape.
