UK renewables market shifts from biodiesel to ethanol

In the UK, the biofuel energy matrix is shifting with ethanol accounting for 41% of total biofuel supply during the year ending April 14. That’s a huge increase from 29% during the same period last year. The main feedstock for biofuels has become used cooking oil with the biodiesel representing 30% of overall biofuel supply, up from just 3% the year before.
