Navy's electronic warfare Prowler flies on biofuels

In Maryland, the Navy’s EA-6B Prowler successfully flew on a biofuel blend of JP-5 aviation fuel and camelina oil on September 17. According to Key.Aero, the Prowler is the first aircraft in the electronic warfare category to fly on a biofuel blend. Biofuel flight tests are also scheduled for the AV-8B Harrier and the MQ-8 Fire Scout unmanned helicopter.
