In Michigan, Renewable Energy Technologies has purchased a 173,000 square feet empty factory in the town of Holland to site its first waste-to-ethanol plant. It had found a site earlier in the year but the deal fell through, which is fine since that site was only half the site of this new one.
A considerable amount of office space that isn’t needed by the company will be rented back to American Beverage Corp., who were the previous owners of the building. RET expects to be producing ethanol by December or January.
