Owensboro Grain receives $1.98M from USDA towards biodiesel plant cost

In Kentucky, Owensboro Grain Company has received $1.984 million from the USDA’s Rural Development Program to help defray the cost of a $22 million soy-based biodiesel plant it built in 2007/08. Other financing a included $1 million forgivable loan from the state Agricultural Development Board, a $5 million loan from the Agricultural Finance Corp., and $250,000 from 26 county agriculture boards.
