Thailand to export sugarcane ethanol

October 10, 2011 |

In Thailand, Rajburi Sugars will export anhydrous ethanol for the first time in 2012 with the Philippines seen as its main market. Thai ethanol producers Double A, Ekarat Pattana Co and Impress Ethanol are already exporting there in an effort to supply the 460 million liters needed annually to reach the E10 blending mandate expected next year.

Rajburi produces 150,000 liters of ethanol a day from molasses and cassava chips.
PetroGreen, the only Thai producer who has been active in the Filipino market, recently sold ethanol at $770 per cubic meter FOB Thailand.
