Waste Management swaps shares in S4 Energy Solutions for stake in InEnTec

In Texas, Waste Management has taken an equity position in InEnTec by exchanging its equity interest in S4 Energy Solutions, for an equity position in InEnTec.

S4 was formed by the two companies in 2009 to design, construct and operate a waste gasification plant using InEntec’s Plasma Enhanced Melter technology.

The technology converts waste into syngas, which can then be converted to transportation fuels such as ethanol and diesel, or used to produce hydrogen, methanol or generate electricity.
