Biofuels Digest Index retreats to 71.74 on broad equities drop

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, retreated 0.95 percent to 71.74 as the broad equity markets fell. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) dropped 1.76 percent to $27.42, while Syntroleum (SYNM) slumped 8.42 percent to $0.87. Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) advanced 0.80 percent to $10.02. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
