Biofuels Digest Index rallies to 72.86 on broad renewables advance

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 1.21 percent to 72.86  as biofuels continued an October rally that has sent the Index up 14 percent since the beginning o f the month. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rose 2.95 percent to $28.59, while Novozymes (NZMB.F) jumped 3.83 percent to $156.00. Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) plummeted 6.36 percent to $9.27. Overall, advances led declines 5 to 3 for the day.
