Reduce oil use by 30% by 2021 or face national security risk: US Military Advisory Board

In Washington, a new report from the Military Advisory Board says the US must reduce its oil use by 30% over the next decade or risk national security due to shell shocks from rising energy prices.

The report puts forth nine policy recommendations for the civilian population to help reduce this energy risk including the use of methanol, ethanol and other biofuels while warning that the use of corn-based ethanol provides too high of a food security risk.
