Oil World expects European biodiesel imports to skyrocket

In Germany, Oil World expects European biodiesel imports to jump 21% this year to a record 2.42 million metric tons. Of that total, 1.4 million tons is expected from Argentina, up from 1.1 million tons last year, while 830,000 tons will come from Indonesia and Singapore, up from 516,000 tons. Italy and Spain have been the target of most of these imports, while Italy’s production is expected to fall 40% and Spain’s by 31%.
