Biofuels Digest Index slides to 73.83 as advanced biofuels wane

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.31 percent to 73.83 as advanced bio felt pressure from a retreat in global equities. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 0.30 percent to $29.78, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) soared another 16/09 percent to $1.01.  Among other equities, Bluefire Renewables (BFRE.OB) fell 23.33 percent to $0.23. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
