"Shoo, Chu!", urges Obama insider, calling for DOE chief's ouster

In Washington, an email circulated among top White House officials, calling for Secretary of Energy Steven Chu’s ouster over lack of progress on renewable energy, surfaced among subpeoned documents released to the House committee investigating Solyndra.

The email, written by former Obama campaign insider Dan Carol, was written last February and warned of an escalating crisis over Solyndra. The email was widely circulated but according to reports was not seriously considered by the White House. “These job creation bean fields are not being watered right now,”  Carol wrote, urging the appoinment of a new Secretary from outside the Silicon Valley region.
