In the Philippines, Senator Francis Pangilinan wants the Department of Agriculture to investigate the P1 billion that was lost when Philippine National Oil Company announced the shutdown of it’s jatropha program back in October.  Senator Pangilinan stated, “Those who committed the blunder should explain themselves to our countrymen, especially to the millions of Filipinos who continue to experience hunger,” he said.
