30-cent biodiesel for UK town

In the UK, the tiny town of Gunning has teamed with the local fish and chips café to supply the used cooking oil to produce biodiesel for the school bus that takes local kids to and from school.

The 400 liters of biodiesel costs about 30 cents a liter to produce and helps the school save 15 and 18 metric tons of carbon emissions annually.
