Biofuels Digest Index drops to 70.66 as global equities sag

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, dropped 2.31 percent to 70.66 as equities were hit globally when US deficit talks failed. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 2.31 percent to $28.29, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) was slashed 20.41 percent to $0.78.  Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) plunged 10.40 percent to $6.46. Overall, declines led advances 8 to 1 for the day.
