Biofuels Digest Index edges up to 70.73 despite large cap sag

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, inched forward 0.12 percent to 70.73 despite large cap drops. For the day, Monsanto (MON) fell 1.85 percent to $69.38, while Aventine Renewable Energy (AVRW) dropped 21.95 percent to $8.00.  Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) dropped 6.66 percent to $6.03. Overall, declines led advances 7 to 6 for the day.
