AMG's jatropha, eucalyptus accessions in China delayed until December

November 25, 2011 |

In Canada, AMG Bioenergy hit another snag in its acquisition of a 133 hectare jatropha plantation and a 201 hectare eucalyptus plantation, and the associated land use rights in the People’s Republic of China.  AMG previously reported that they anticipated the acquisition would be closed on or about October 21.

Instead, AMG reports that new regulatory requirements in China require a forty day cooling-off period before the actual transfer of the Lands can occur. Consequently, AMG now anticipates the transfer to occur about December 18, assuming a favorable report from their Chinese counsel.
