Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 72.75 as Euro debt fears ease
The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 3.59 percent to 72.75 as global equities advanced sharply in response to positive news on European debt. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) soared 3.65 percent to $30.12, while KiOR (KIOR) skyrocketed 6.42 percent to $17.58. Among other equities, Aventine Renewables (AVRW) plunged 22.56 percent to $6.00. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
