POET to produce 12 Mgy of biodiesel from corn oil

In Iowa, POET says that it will produce enough corn oil by the end of the year to produce 12 million gallons of biodiesel annually, or 100 million pounds of corn oil.

Already the corn oil extraction technology has been added to six of POET’s plants with more expected to come online next year. The company began selling corn oil into biodiesel and feed markets in January.
