Renewable chemicals from biogas wastewater? ThermoEnergy says yes.

In Massachusetts, ThermoEnergy Corp reports they have successfully completed field and laboratory tests to prove that the company’s Thermo ARP system can efficiently recycle the wastewater from agricultural anaerobic digester biogas plants into valuable fertilizers and chemicals. The tests were conducted on behalf of major biogas developers in the U.S.  Currently, ammonia is made using either natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas or naphtha.
