Biofuels Digest Index zooms to 71.35 as CDXS, GEVO surge

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, zoomed 1.25 percent to 71.35 despite poor results at Cargill which shook the agribusiness sector. For the day, BP was up 0.73 percent to $44.39, while Aventine Renewables (AVRW) plunged 11.71 percent to $4.90. Among other equities, Codexis (CDXS) surged 6.46 percent to $5.54. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
