Costs for Oregon’s Energy Loan Program rise after project failiures

In Oregon, state officials estimate that the Oregon Energy Department’s Small Scale Energy Loan Program will cost taxpayers $20 million over the next five years after three of its main investments including a biofuels plant and a solar facility failed, making it impossible for the fund to continue to pay for itself as it has in the past.
