Green Fuel ethanol, power venture forges ahead in Zimbabwe

January 20, 2012 |

In Zimbabwe, Green Fuel is forging ahead, as they report they expect to reach their full electrical generation capacity of 18MWe by July.  Their Chisumbanje plant will only consume 8MWe for their sugarcane to ethanol plant.  The remaining 10MWe will be supplied to Zesa, however concerns were expressed about Zesa’s power grid, noting that it was unreliable and could only take 4MWe.

As Biofuels Digest reported back in November, there is still no word that Zesa has agreed to upgrade its capacity.
