UPM to produce biodiesel from waste tall oil in Finland

In Finland, UPM is building a 100,000 metric ton biodiesel facility in Lappeenranta that it says will be the first to produce biofuel from crude tall oil, a byproduct of the paper and pulp industry. Construction on the facility will begin this summer with production expected to come online in 2014.
