Manildra halts Aussie ethanol expansion, citing govt backtrack

In Australia, Manildra has stopped the expansion work at its Nowra facility.

Dick Honan, Manildra Chairman, in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, stated this was a direct result of Premier Barry O’Farrell’s decision not to ban regular unleaded fuel in New South Wales.  Honan he would visit the Nowra plant, explaining “…to assess what has to be stopped and what contractual arrangements we have. But a lot of the major expansion will not happen.”
