February 17, 2012 |

In New Jersey, American By-Products Recyclers unveiled its new state-of-the-art biodiesel factory located in Hillsborough, New Jersey.

The 24,000 square foot facility, Planet Earth Biodiesel, processes the used cooking oil that American collects from restaurants all over New York and New Jersey. The recycled oil is used in the production of biodiesel.  Mayor Suraci performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony on the main factory floor, flanked by 15,000 gallon oil tanks. Guests were treated to a reception and a private tour of the facility, getting a glimpse at how restaurant grease is converted into biodiesel.
