Biofuels Digest Index edges up to 74.90 as ethanol jumps

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 0.11 percent to 74.90 as ethanol jumped strongly again.  For the day, Amyris (AMRS) recovered 7.33 percent to $6.44,  while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) soared 15.83 percent to $1.61. Among other equities, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) was up sharply, 7.59 percent to $0.85. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
