London cabbies launch “Toot the Treasury” campaign to protest end to biodiesel tax credit

In the UK, London black cabs are joining with the UK Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance in on the protest against the upcoming expiry of duty waivers on biodiesel and will complete a lap around Parliament Square, called Taxis ‘Toot the Treasury’, between 9.20am and 9.40am on March 7.

About 1,000 London black cabs source biodiesel from Uptown Oil, all of whom will be impacted if the 20 pence per liter duty is reinstated come April 1.
