Santa Terezinha to invest $283M in Brazilian sugarcane ethanol expansion

In Brazil, the Santa Terezinha sugar company plans to invest $283 million in a new mill and ethanol production facility in Mato Grosso do Sul by 2015, as well as expand cane production at its eight other facilities. The project was originally shelved back in 2008 but will be brought back to life this year in response to the government’s moves to boost financing and ethanol production.
