API sues EPA over “unachievable goals” for cellulosic ethanol in 2012

In Washington, the American Petroleum Institute has filed suit against the EPA for setting what it sees as unachievable goals for blending cellulosic ethanol in 2012. The suit, that was filed in DC federal district court, says that the EPA must set achievable goals under the RFS but claims instead that the 8.65 billion gallons hoped for in 2012 is an absurdity.
