Darling in crackdown in grease thieves

In Texas, Irving-based rendering company Darling International is training police and local authorities to investigate used cooking oil thefts in an effort to cut down on supply diversion for the biodiesel industry. The company, which had sales of $1.3 billion last year, also pays $500 for tips that lead to the arrest of grease thieves as well as contracts private detectives to find grease gangs so they can be arrested.
