North Star Biofuels proposes 65,000 gallon facility in California

In California, North Star Biofuels, a joint venture of R. Power Fuels LLC of Emeryville and Agri Beef Co. of Boise, Idaho is proposing a 65,000 gallons per day biodiesel and biojet production facility in Watsonville that would process animal fats brought in by rail from Washington state. The company claims its biodiesel reduces GHG emissions by 60%. The Watsonville planning commission voted on the facility Tuesday.
