PetroVietnam sugarcane and cassava facility delayed

In Vietnam, the commissioning of PetroVietnam’s $80 million 100,000 metric ton sugarcane and cassava-based ethanol facility has been delayed because even though 90% of the construction is finished, the lender has yet to distribute the rest of the required funding. Recently the Ministry of Industry and Trade asked the regional authorities, the company and the lender to sit down and get the project rolling again, but no visible movement has been made.
