In Thailand, domestic ethanol producers are looking for export markets to compensate for a lack of local demand that they say is a result of flip-flopping biofuel policies. Domestic demand is about 1.3 million liters per day but production has topped 3.6 million liters per day and could reach 9 million liters per day within the next 10 years. Exports reached 132 million liters in 2011.
