In France, Technip signed a cooperation agreement with the Compagnie Industrielle de la Matière Végétale to industrialize CIMV’s process. Technip specializes in project management, engineering and construction for the energy industry. CIMV has developed a lignocellulosic biorefinery that allows separation of three components of plant material into three intermediary products designed for industry: Biolignine, cellulose/glucose and sugar syrups in C5. These products can be substituted for petroleum used in everyday consumer products such as fuel, plastics, glue, insulation, etc.
