Paterson Grain to distribute Canadian oilseed

April 9, 2012 |

In Canada, Paterson Grain has been contracted to distribute Canada’s first commercial oilseed aimed primarily at the biofuel industry. The seed, a carinata variety developed for the Praries’ brown soil zone, yielded an oil content of 44 percent. “The commercial introduction of Resonance to the marketplace is the final link in the biojet-fuel value chain that connects Canadian growers to airline passengers, with many others performing critical roles in between,” Agrisoma CEO Steven Fabijanski said in a release.
