Brazil expects ethanol production to rise 4.8 percent in 2012

In Brazil, the government’s crop supply agency Conab said in its first estimate for the 2012/13 season that ethanol production should reach 23.96 billion liters, up 4.8% from 22.86 billion liters last season from a total cane crop of 602 million metric tons. UNICA is meant to make its first forecast for the season on Thursday.
