In California, the California Energy Commission has approved a $2 million grant to Biodiesel Industries of Ventura for the company’s 10 million gallon per year biodiesel facility under construction in Port Hueneme.

The company has teamed with Red Rock Ranch and Stephen Kaffka of the University of California, director of the California Biomass Collaborative, to develop a unique low-impact feedstock suitable for underutilized land.
